I remember as a child and teenager going to the Brine Baths with my brother and friends, what a wonderful building it was, swimming was never the same after the new baths were built, another fine old building was lost.

Left for the BAHAMAS IN 1966. Everything was as it should be then; but why are there no mentions of King Edward VI Grammar School in the memory displays? There were four hundred years of history involved before the Mystery of Education turned the establishment into a Middle School - did it go down the drain with the Royal Brine Bath 'water'.
'Long may the iconoclasts be trodden underfoot!' - apologies to the 'ghost' of Richard Brinsley Sheridan.
