Notes From Medway's Hoo Peninsula

My family came from Stoke, on the Hoo Peninsula, and I am keen to hear from other people about their heritage as well. I have a blog and am looking to compile stories and photographs!

RE: RE: Notes From Medway's Hoo Peninsula

My mother came from Hoo Pennisular - born in Allhallows. I went to see the flat she was born in in 1950. My grandparents lived in Upper Stoke, and my grandfather joined the air force. Ruby Mortley (nee Smith) and Ronald Mortley. Also my great aunt who was close to us. I visited my grandparents as a child in the 1980s in Vicarage Lane, in a house my grandfather built. Both their parents, grandparents and ancestors were from the area, going back a long time. I have the family tree and I am finding it so interesting to research. I have some wedding photos. My grandmother is still alive and lives in Faversham (Kent). I live in Darwin, Australia.
