A Memory of Tantobie.

Hi My name is Mary Hall I remember living in Ann Cottage and 2 Chapel Street my mother and father was John and Sarah Hall he had a horse and trap. There was a family called Vasey Hall and a family called Middleton I remember a family called Crudess a family called Charlton also Wilkinson also family called Mangley and Macnulty I was usherette at the Gaff . Happy days. My father John had goats along the black path. Happy Days

Im doing my family tree and haveat least 2 previous addresses in Tantobie my surname is Murphy and other family members Mary possibly fairlish surname, family of Grace,Doreen,May and Billie.I would love to hear any stories memories of them. Ash and Elm Terrace.
If Chapel Street was at the Hobson my Grandmother lived at NO 13 Elizabeth yard and Sid. Mavis and Ernie.
Whyask- We lived in 2 Chapel Street Tantobie and Ann Cottage.I have brothers Leo ,Walter,Robert,Terrence,David and John.My name is Mary Ann Hall. My father had goats on the
field opposite the shop.We all attended Pickerinook School.I was an usherette at the Gaff cinema.I am returning to Tantobir for one day in Feb with my daughter to show her where I am from and the places we went in our youth.
You have my mind thinking now I am 85 how old were the people you are talking about ?
I can remember Farlish i carnt remember but i remember ash and elm terrace at tantobie. But i have many memories of alot of people in tantobie. If you need any help get in touch .
I lived at Chapel Street Tantobie in 1969, then Martha Street Tantobie in 1970. I also lived at The Bungalows Tanfield Lea from 1961 till 1968, before that Joicey Terrace, Oxhill.
