Meadows Avenue (just Round The Corner)
Well actually it is any dates up to & beyond 1960. Born in 1951, I recognise the view of how the avenue looked before all the bungalows were built on the west side. We used to walk to Cleveleys through the 'paddy fields', full of buttercups & mayflowers. When we reached Rowlands Farm (Rowlands Lane now) we'd risk our lives cimbing in the tumbledown farmhouse & make dens. Great days.

RE: RE: Meadows Avenue (just Round The Corner)
I cycled to school at Thornton, across the fields from Rowlands Farm to Meadows Avenue. One morning I fell off my bike into the dyke which ran along the path. I was covered in mud and water and went home to get a change of clothes. Sometimes me and my pal bought apples at the cottage in the photo T307013. The cottage still stands to this day. Great times.
