This view brings back many childhood memories, I was born in the cottage on the right hand edge of the picture, in 1947, growing up on the farm there, and have lived within three miles of the area for the majority of my life.

Hi, my name is David Effer, I worked for Tom Clarke the milkman around 1962 to 1965. When we were kids we used to call you 'Muck', I think it was because you had freckles. I remember you waiting for us to get off the bus, where you would give us a belting, this is only a vague memory but it's amazing what you remember... We have been in Australia for 42 years now and Ticehurst still looks the same. We are planning a trip to England in May this year, we hope to stay at the Bull Inn. All the best.
