A Memory of Uckfield.

My aunt lived in a large old house on London Road called 'The Cedars from around 1950s to the 70s when it was demolished. Does anyone have any photos of this house? There is still a road of that name where it was.

Hello Ann M ...My Grandmother lived at the Cedars until around the early 60s, when as you rightly say it was demolished. Unfortunately I don’t have a picture, I would love one... bu t have many memories of holidays staying there. I feel I may know you, we would have been just children, and I think maybe my family used to travel from Hove up to visit your family. Margaret N

Dear Margaret, I am your cousin, your uncle Len's daughter, your grandmother, Nellie was dad's sister. You are correct about visiting, I have photos from when we lived at Leyton, we also visited you in Gloucester. I did phone you some years ago when Vic gave me your number. I am occasionally in touch with Ellen on Facebook.. I hope you and your family are well, I often think of those times with great fondness.
