At the top of this short road was a village shop, we would get lollies in there. Across the road to "the Hollow" [ now completely overgrown] and then on to Limes Close to see friends. Boris Karloffs house at the bottom of this view. Stories of ghost sightings had a huge appeal to us kids then but in the 50+ years I have been along that area I'm still waiting. My father and his two brothers attended Bramshott School between 1902 and 1913. Headmaster was a Mr Crowther who ruled with a rod of iron (cane actually, but equally painful). I have two photographs of the school taken at the time.
