John Joseph Granter b.1887 moved to Upton in 1925. He owned a bus or coach company and also land and farms near Rossington. I can find no record of his businesses or what happened to them. One or two relatives of whom I'm aware still live in the area. Someone may know or even remember more ...

My Great GrandFather John Robinson Bailey worked for JJ Granter. I too have tried looking for information on his business hoping to find a photo or something. I have a book called Upton and North Elmsall Yesteryears which has a photo of JJ Granter when he was on Hemsworth Council.
There are also 2 more pictures of him with his buses - the business was called United Services Co.
