More about this scene

The ornamental cannons, mounted on far too new-looking carriages, add a romantic if not very realistic contribution to this scene. More practical are the Welsh coastal schooners, which are lying alongside the moles comprising the jetties of the harbour, possibly awaiting copper or lead cargoes mined locally. The main stem of the jetty continues to serve craft belonging to the Outward Bound Sea School. Tenby

The Bells Of Aber Dovey
My brothers and I would cycle from Borth to Ynyslas sand dunes from where we could see the village of Aber Dovey nestled on the other side of the estuary. We were told that on a clear day if you listened carefully you would hear church bells ringing beneath the waves. Due to the fast moving tidal flow around the estuary we were always careful not wander out too far onto the sand banks. The dunes were a peaceful haven for rabbits and wildlife.

However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
