Happy Memory

A Memory of Beckley.

I remember my mum and dad taking me to see Mr and Mrs Farley, they lived in a lovely house with apple trees,I also think there were chickens, because I seem to remember collecting the eggs, I especially remember their daughter Mary, she was very pretty, with freckles like myself. My dad's name was Reginald Green, he worked at Rye council along with Mr Farley.

Comments & Feedback

Hello Jane, I just came across this! My grandmother Audrey Wade Brown lived two doors up from Mrs.Farley. They were best friends. Mrs.Farley made the best current buns ever and my brother and me spent hours playing in her garden. Mrs.Farley was like a grandmother and we were all very sad when she passed away.
I was too young to remember Mr.Farley.
