Camp Warden

A Memory of Brighton.

In the early 1950s my uncle, William Grosvenor, was warden at this camp site. As a young girl I can remember visiting him and my aunt and helping or hindering with campers arrivals.

Loved this campsite, had many happy holidays there in our tent , My first time there was when I was about two in 1949, later I loved climbing the hill to look over the campsite and breath in the smell of bacon and eggs, in the mornings. I don't ever remember it raining there, but I suppose it did.In those days my brother and I could just wander off and explore, happy days!
