Barkisland Hall
A Memory of Barkisland.
Have posted this before, but can't find it !
Dad John Frederick Lumb -was born 11/03/1909 at Barkisland Hall.
Several family members lived there, Ernest (father), Marmaduke (Uncle) , Frederick etc
Apparently Marmaduke lost the family assets fighting a water abstraction case up to the House of Lords, and losing !
Any pre 1850'ish info ?
