A Memory of Calne.

At one time a favourite place for picnics. Can anyone remember when the RAF lads tipped tins of paint over the white horse turning it red, white and blue?

Yes, I remember the stripes. They were still visible for several years afterwards. My mother was scandalized and my dad tut-tutted in sympathy but privately though it was hilarious.
