ANYONE REMBER BECONTREE SECONDARY MODERN school in stevens rd, or the Winding Way social club dagenham. Also the Barking lido. We lived in Farmway Dagenham from 1939 till 1951.

I attended Becontree School from 1950 to 1960. I lived in Winding Way and needless to say grew up at the Social Club, I remember the Barking Lido very well and had some great times there. Ian Robb

I was also there from 1951. I used to go tap dancing at the Winding Way at Dorothy Conns Dancing School. I lived in Linsey Road. My maiden name was Sheila Smith

I left Becontree the year it closed as a secondary school in 1965, lived in Milner Road then
Has any one out there got photos of the old school as was, can't find any
I was there in the infant's 1953 through to juniors 1957 left and came back 1962 to1964 remember Terry Smith as the cheeky kid who got away with blue murder with a lady teacher can't remember her name I was known as Marie turbines back then
Lived in lindsay rd then Milner rd coronation party in Camden crescent went to becontree school loved my time there great school friends in netball team and gym team left 1956 great teachers.

Night school goodmayes work in london offices a group of schoolfriends did same
Friends were Patricia Cain Patricia Anthony Daisy Clayton Christine Edwards i was Patricia Duffy Evelyn Carr many more I have no school photos or sports photos from these days as postwar Britain tough on larger families no spare cash for photos
I lived in Campden Cresent and went to beacon tree school from 1945/1959
I met Ronnie Allen and his wife many years ago while on holiday from NZ where I have lived since 1967 would be good to find any photos of that era

And night school in goodmayes lane used to be Mayfield school. So want to hear any news x

I attended Becontree school from 1952 to 1962. The headmaster was Mr Pask aka Rubber Neck. There was also a teacher Mr Berk aka babbles Berk. other teachers were Mr Trory and a miss Flory.
Mr Cook used to teach woodwork and was deadly with the cane if you were unlucky get it.

My name is Tony Parker and attended Becontree from 1945 to 1955. The school was great and I made many friends and still meet Coxhead and Nightingale and go on holidays. I remember pask ,cook , and Ballard and a few more.
Would like to hear from ex pupils in classes 1954 / 1955.

I attended Becontree school from infants to seniors 1949-1959. Lived in Winding Way and have just sold the house, the family having lived there from 1948, first tenants after the house was rebuilt following a land mine falling on corner of Becontree Ave. Remember the social club and Ian Robb (who has sadly passed away) Ray Mansell
