Old Pond

A Memory of Cheshunt.

My hubby and I remember the shop that was on the corner near the old pond where you could get 1 penny packets of broken crisps and weren't they delicious? They used to sell out very quickly.
Sometimes, when I was off school poorly and if my sister was feeling generous, she would get me a packet on the way home from the Grammar school. And of course I remember the cinema (flea pit) and the woman who used to play the organ before a film to try and keep us kids quiet.
