I, m sure this is the convent me and my brother stayed in in the 60, s if so it had a walled garden full of cabbages and in the middle was a swing and I thought if I swung high enough I could escape I was about 8yrs old the 1st time we went my brother was about 4 yrs I remember his bedroom was at the top of winding stairs in a seperate building from ours the school was along side the walled garden remember on bath nights we had one big bath in the middle of the room and we all lined up and if youwere at the end of the line you had dirty water bedtime was around 7pm and getting up around 6am for prayers then scrambled eggs bacon and tomotoes if you didn, t eat it all was brought back out for your dinner remember the beds were all done like a circle and still remember how to fold the sheets over to make the bed we had a shilling a week for sweets which were in a big cupboard we used to go for walks along the woods to the village to post letters back home remember Anthony quayles son arriving when his dad was filming away and he escaped had all the police looking for him he only stayed about a week in the garden was a bench with a plaque to one of the nuns who was killed by a falling branch can, t say I enjoyed both of my stays there but would love to go back and visit if it was still there carol
