Living In Dartford 1942 To 1953

A Memory of Dartford.

I went to Our Ladies High School on Dartford Heath. I remember Sister Clare. I remember playing on Dartford Heath as our playground. I have gone back to look for the building in person, also on Google. I have not been able to find out much until I read your memories. I live in California, been in the states since 65.

I am certain I went to the primary school around 1946 or 7, before going on to the school on the Heath.

My father did special brickwork. He resurfaced the courtyard of the Bull Hotel, and built many arches and columns around the area. There is a wall at the approach to the Dartford tunnel up high to the right. He built those columns and left a bottle with info about the builders in the end column.

He also helped to build the low wall around the parking lot that was near the church the other side of the river. It was made out of paving slabs and there was a bottle in one of those columns. I went to the Dartford museum, but nothing was ever handed to them. My fathers name was Henry Bentley.
