St Luke's Church is pictured in the centre. The white building beside it is The Red Lion Inn; there is a sign on the tree in front of the church which says 'No Coaches'. Perhaps the village's name indicates an early link with geese, but instead today it is the home to an annual gooseberry show, which seems most apt.
