A Memory of Great Barr.

I'm looking for a man called David from Great Barr who used to drive an ice-cream van with his brother in the 1970s. He is believed to be married with two boys, possibly in his 60s or 70s now. Any information, however small, would be gratefully accepted. Thanks.

My name is Mike Roberts. In the period 1945-1966 I lived at 2 Handsworth Drive off Queslett Rd in a house that belonged to St Margarets Hospital where my father was a charge nurse. I have never known what the connection was with Handsworth 4 miles away. The road led into Suttons Drive but why so-called? Handswoth Drive was bisected by the M6 in 1968 but I tend to think of it only as it was. And does anyone know what happened to Dawn Barker and Paul Valance, two of my oldest friends in the area over 60 years ago ?
