Apex Corner

A Memory of Mill Hill.

The roundabout; the sweet shop - one of my first jobs. Before the M1 was built my friends grandparents lived in an apartment and we used to walk from Edgware to here, going past the Cripplidge (not sure of spelling) and the garden plots. There was a car dealership I think at the end of the shops. You could also get to Burnt Oak going from here.

I used to work at Apex Corner at a Jewish hair dressers from 13 to 16 years of age. 1969 .The owner was called Mr Max, he also had antiques for sale in the shop. I used to take the towels to the laundry a few doors away. It was a very busy hairdressers and I loved working there.
Sometimes I would walk to Mill Hill to save my bus fare home to Deansbrook Road.
