Oadby Cinema

The cinema was owned by philip cockroft and my father used to manage it part time ,my sister and I both grew up in Oadby ,we lived on hidcote road and went to sandhurst infants,langmoor junior ,then brockshill ,Gartree high and kibworth beauchamp ,yes they always called it Oadby flea pit though I cannot think why ,as it was very clean :) I also worked there when I was older for extra pocket money ,and as my father was also a projectionist I used to go upstairs with him and sit whilst he ran the films and changed the reels ,such happy days, maybe it was me or my sister you knew at school

Or me! Philip was my stepdad until he passed away. I probably know you myself as I also went to Beauchamp
