A Memory of Silverdale.

Italian born Goffredo Valco known to the locals as Alf was my great grandfather he along with his wife Maud owned and ran the icecream palour on the bottom on crown bank. I would love to hear any memories of my great grandparents and their business.

I was born in 1945 and my childhood was spent living at 1 Crown Street Silverdale next door to Mr and Mrs Valco's Ice Cream Parlour. I well remember Mrs Valco in particular as one of the kindest people one could wish to meet and I often went in for an ice cream. My parents were very fond of our neighbours it was a very happy period of my life.
