In the late 1950’s and as a young boy around 8 or 9 living in the west end of Newcastle, I used to visit my Auntie Bella and Uncle Ted regularly. The actual day of the Coronation it rained, not only in London but also at the village of Cresswell, home of my mother's family for several Centuries.
