Friends In Swindon West Midlands
A Memory of Swindon.
I used to ride my horse through Swindon when the steel works RTB was there. The offices looked over the little bridge and my friend Derek Williams used to work there and wave through the window to me and my mates on our horses.
Our other friend Peter Hurley and his mate Micky Schaht also lived there, Micky lived in the old farmhouse that belonged to Solari at the top of the hill. We used to drive an old Austin 7 through the field up from Hollowmill Farm where we kept the horses.
Great Days. The village has changed so much. We also used to buy a steak and kidney pie from the Old Bush Pub by the caravan park. We used to share one between us. So many happy memories.
