Re Shrublands my son was born there in September 1958 when it was in a large house in Morgan Avenue just up from Castle Circus. The house is still there but it is now a drug rehabilitation centre.

Yes, I remember it too, my nephew was also born there in 1969. And it was as you say up from Castle Circus, I went visit him there, looking back how old fashioned was it!!, I was born in Winchester Aveune Torquay, and have since moved up to Essex, each time I go back threre, something else has changed,

I was born in Shrublands September 1958 . I live in Somerset now but go back to Torquay occasionally it has changed so much

I too was born in Shrublands in 1955, went to local Barton school then on to Audley Park as it was then.
