Ward End Scouts

A Memory of Ward End.

I was a member of 1st Ward End Scouts Group from 1956 until 1971. First known as the 45th Birmingham, they became known as the 34th Birmingham in the late '60s (?) when they merged with the nearby 181. Our headquarters were in Rogers Road. The group is still going today.

Hi. My late father was a member of the 1st Ward End Scout Group - a Kings Scout in the Rovers. Took him to their HQ on Rogers Road a few months ago before he passed. He must have been there the same time as Roy as he was born in 1939 so was in the Rover Crew 1956/1957 onwards. Duncan.
