I lived in Walker Dwellings in X Block, directly opposite of one of the entrances to Walker Park, from 1943 to 1946. I am looking for old photographs of Church Street and Walker Park. Also I would like contact with anyone from that time.

Hi, Great to read about the dwellings or Walker Mansions as they known locally. We lived on J Block, my gran lived at no4, M Block. I went to Walker Road School. We used to walk to Jesmond Dean - do you remember the 'bird man' there? Such wonderful hard times, All the best Steve.
