Good Days
Left Wallasey in 1964 for Australia. Lived in Russell Rd and went to St Albans and St Hildas. Was also in the 28th Wallasey scouts. Those days are full of good memories. I have been back a few times most recently in 2006. If anyone with a memory sees this message I would love to share some memories. I am hoping to make the trip again this year. Peter Maher from Seabank Road, Peter Barber and Michael Thomas?

RE: RE: Good Days
I read with interest the message from Tony Upton, in Perth Australia.
Hi Tony, there are a lot of your Scouting friends still around. Of those you mention, I am in touch with Peter Barber and can contact Peter Maher through his brother Ray. The Scout Group is still very active in St George's Road, and we had a weekend of celebration in 2005 to celebrate 50 years. I have a database of quite a number of ex-28th all over the world. If you are visiting Wallasey let me know and arrange to call in.

RE: RE: Good Days
I'm currently retracing family history. My grandfather was born in number 6 Russell Road in 1910. Do you have any photos of Russell Road?

RE: RE: Good Days
Hi April - all that I have are photos that I took on my last visit to Wallasey three years ago. What was your father's name? I know the family that lived in (I think) number six in the early 1960s. You are welcome to any of the photos that I have of Russell and Stonehouse Roads and Wallasey Village. Cheers Tony Upton tonyuis@iprimus.com.au

They left for Australia in 1915 actually when my grandafther was only 5 years old. His name is Harold Hudson Williams, and he was born in number 6.
