Haywards From Loders Dorset

From The River 1893
Enlarge photo |  More about this photo

John Hayward (1813) came from Loders in Dorset and settled in this area  of Wallingford, of Benson, Bradfield, Englefield and married local girl Mary Anne Kitchen.  His son Robert James eventually farmed Uxmore Farm at Ipsden, near Stoke Row in Berks/Oxon.  I am collecting a photographic record of the Hayward family in these areas for a family tree.

RE: RE: Haywards From Loders, Dorset

Hi, my name is Peter Hayward. I have not looked at family history before but was intrigued to find out if we are related. My dad, John Robert Hayward, now lives in rugby as do I, but he has said his father or his grandfather came from Beaminster. My mum June (nee Woodruffe) came from Hunningham in Warwickshire but my brother now lives in Beaminster, my sister in South Street in Bridport, my niece in South Street, Bridport. I was the first to be drawn to this area for some reason and will return to live as we did when I was a child at North Bowood. I visit friends and family 8 to 10 times a year. Maybe there is a connection. Regards Peter Hayward
