Christmas Time

This photo always reminds me of christmas as a child, there used to be a policeman sitting in the upstairs window of the bank, watching you cross the the road,he used a loud speaker to tell you when to cross and when not to the road, he used to tell you off if you crossed the road when it was not safe, me and my mates used to run across the road, so the policeman would tell us off, the area is now pedestrians only

RE: RE: Christmas Time

I remember taking my driving test on 25 July 1962, having to negotiate the bridge was the scariest thing that I had to do. We finished back at the Test Centre in Lower Hall Lane. He said "You have passed" which proved to be great news. I ditched my motorbike, my girl friend became my wife and still is. Now live in Cornwall. Still support the Saddlers, see them when they play in the South-West, as for the bridge at Christmas, it was magical.
