Harrowdene Close

A Memory of Wembley.

We moved into Harrowdene Close in 1953 when they were first built. I can always remember the flats being well maintained and my dad had an allotment between the close and Sudbury Avenue. On a recent trip back down memory lane the allotment is now overgrown. I left there in 1972 when I got married. I went to Perrin Road Primary Scool and later Alperton High School. When I went back I did not recognise any of the shops in Wembley High Street. I have such happy memories of Wembley as I remember it when growing up.
