Hi. I'm writing a book about McLaren and Ferrari Formula One designer John Barnard, who used to go to school in East Lane. It's an official biography. Does anyone remember him? Did anyone know him in his youth? He made the local paper in 1961 after building a speedboat in Mr Pegg's class at East Lane Comprehensive, and featured on an ITV programme called Friday Island.
