A Memory of West Ham.

Does anyone remember a Church of England home for unmarried mothers? There appears to be no mention of one in history pages, and no record of the poor girls who left their babies there.

My mother had a baby boy in a home for unmarried mothers, it was 1963 I believe and she said it was in Stratford behind a hospital?

I remember it was an impressive, probably Victorian building, and I am told it stood opposite the dry cleaners c.1960.
