Brickfields

It's good to know that others have fond memories of the childhood haunts I shared with many other kids of the baby boom generation. For me the brickfields were the best, many a school holiday was spent there from dusk till dawn.

A memory of Wickford in Essex shared on Sunday, 3rd May 2009.

RE: RE: Brickfields

I have fond memories of the fields all around that area. I lived in Aldernry Gardens and our back garden backed on to the fields, now a housing estate. I think it is called Barn Hall. Does anyone remember old Mr Houlihan who lived rough in a bungalow and used to walk along the field several times a day? I moved from Wickford in 1964 after getting married.
