How brilliant to find this website. I am a Widnesian born and bred and loved this photo of the baths. I lived across the road in Princes Street and used to go every night after school, I went to Kingsway School.

I can't remember when it closed but my Auntie Ivy (Fox) lived in Princess Street and managed the cafe there for many years. She has passed on now, but her daughter (Pat) married Derek Cook and they both lived in Princess Street, they live on the Isle of Man now. I lived inFrederick Street which terrace backed on to Princess Street. Jackie Worrall
