Nursing

Victoria Hospital c1955

I have happy memories of Woking's Victoria Hospital 1963 - 1965, where I completed my State Enrolment training. It was a very small training school giving excellent tuition by Mrs Mockett. Sister Burns was our Home Sister who looked after our health. Matron was Miss Horsefield - very strict as far as I can recall.

RE: RE: Nursing

I am currently compiling my family tree and I believe two of them were staff at Victoria Hospital in Woking. I was excited to see your entry on the website and hoped they of been there when you were there. One was Patrick Burns (houseman) possibly related to Sister Burns? And the other was Stella Collins (nee o’loughlin). If you have any details or information about the hospital or these people could you please contact me. Many many thanks. mick@dicktee.com Michael Heath
