We worked as kiwis on their "oe" in 1991. Margaret and Derek ? We're the managers. We lived on premises. george was a barman. Lesley Reynolds and Ray were locals we met there. Gary and "Bomber", and a gentleman that used to sit at the end of the bar and read the paper who if I remember rightly lived next door to the hotel. Heading back to Uk this month will be sure to visit.
Oh yes, the War was on during this time. Shops were open their regular hours. The locals bought their necessities and everyone came and went as usual. A very small window for any results, but, would anyone remember a SANDRA IRENE NELSON who attended the above school in the years 1958+? She resided in Fairfield Rd for the duration of her childhood years. Please contact me if you remember her.
