I don't know much about Worcester Park really, my dad's family (Prowses) lived in Washington Road, he was the eldest of 14 so a lot of people crammed into quite a small house. I remember him talking about an ice cream parlour and a few other places.

A memory of Worcester Park in Surrey shared on Monday, 16th February 2009.

RE: RE: Worcester Park

I just happened to be looking through these photos when I noticed the comment on this one. I used to live in Browning Avenue which was next to Washington Road and noticed the name of the last person to comment on here. I used to be friends with the Prowses, especially Susan and Yvonne and my sister was friends with Janet. We knew the family really well.

RE: RE: Worcester Park

My mum lived in Washington Road 1952-72 and remembers the Prowses. Does anyone recall a family by the name of Littlejohn who lived in Washington Road? My mum went to Burlington Road Girls' School at New Malden and remembers Eileen Powell and Sally Gabb. Is the school still standing? My mum hated it and says her time there was an utter misery.

Hi The name Littlejohn rings a bell, did your mum live at the top end of Washington Road?
