Opposite The Majestic Cinema
I remember this beautiful church standing opposite the Majestic cinema with the church hall to the right & St Marks steeple behind. Tragically torn down to make way for an ugly row of concrete shops! Typical Wrexham!

RE: RE: Opposite The Majestic Cinema
I have to agree with Mr Clark, Wrexham is an ugly town and it is going to get worse. You have the bus station at one end of town and the mulit-million pound shopping centre at the other end. The planners are ripping the heart out of Wrexham, there will be nothing left in the centre. Plus car parking is too expensive. Getting into town is a nightmare, I live just outside Wrexham and it can take up to one hour to drive in and find a parking space if I am lucky, at the weekend. A very sad local.

RE: RE: Opposite The Majestic Cinema
Yes, the loss of Bryn y Ffynon was sad, but as I recall, its loss and replacement by a parade of shops was necessary because of the structure of the building needing a good deal of money. The congregation got new, safe place of worship. Wrexham will, like all towns and cities, change but the heart of Wrexham remains intact!
