Rosemary Inglis, I Remember Youvery Well

A Memory of Yeaton Peverey.

I can't believe that I've actually found this site, and to see some comments from people I went to school with 50 years ago is amazing!
I remember vividly Miss. Hainsselin, the head, and her 'deputy' Mrs. Scott and yes, Miss.Williams too. She was completely mad!
Miss. Hardy from Lebanon who wore trousers and taught Italian, Madame, don't remember her name who taught French, Fitz Mu the church we traipsed to every Sunday after having memorised the Psalms, eating marrow at lent and then the vicar who advised my mum and other parents to move us to other schools after the arrival of that very strange family, the Chadwicks.
I remember he actually had young men from Saudi Arabia at the school, do any of you?
I'm Lee Hannaford and I was at St. Margaret's from 1963 c. to 1965/66 with my sister Ellen, any school mates still around?

Hi Rosie. I can't believe I've found this site too. I don't know if you remember me ? Our parents were medical and use to share taking us back and forth to school end of term or half term. Your dad had a very old Rover that had polished back seat ! We use to slide back and forth round the Shropshire lanes to school. You were very kind to me and helped me to settle in ! Sadly I hated every waking hour there and was very unhappy.
The School building was unbelievable - I use to think quite daunting and creepy and wished I had appreciated it xfor what it is a very fine Edwardian house. It's for sale and came across the agents details. Oh my word it is a very palatial house for the rich now ! Far from what we had! I would love to hear from you.
And exchange memories !
