RE: RE: Family Ties

Peter, I don't know if you visit this site but I am a decendant of a John Marsden from Youlgreave. My wife has traced the family tree and we have recently visited Youlgreave. I am late coming to this site. There is a John Marsden born 1793, son of Robert Marsden, not quite the same date. However, I don't know if you are aware but there were two 'tribes' of Mardens in the Youlgrave area. From a common ancestry they divide through marriage but then remarried into the the other family many generations later. For example, Benjamin Marsden (1861-1915), son of John Marsden, married Elizabeth Roose, daughter of Solomon Marsden and Christiana Roose on 16/09/1887. I hope you respond as I have avery detailed family tree you may wish to see. john52marsden@hotmail.co.uk
