Cefneithin, Bryn Road 1937

I am the granddaughter of Isaac and Magretta who are both buried at Tabernacle. My father was Ieuan, brother to David Glamor, Luther, Elfed, Royston and Dougwell. They all moved to the Midlands in the late 1930’s. My great grandparents, Asa Jones and his wife, together with one of their sons are also buried at Tabernacle. Isaac And Margretta Griffiths lived in Cefneithin, (Dyfed) in Tabor Villa on Carmarthen Road until 1939. From there they ended up living in West Bromwich in the West Midlands. As far as i understand it was my granfather, David Glanmor Griffiths, who set off on his bicycle in search of work. He ended up in the Midlands and secured work. I used to live in Is y Llyn and I attended Cefneithin School until I was 9 years old. In the school yard under the shelter there used to be a wooden board which we used to run at and we used to pull ourselves to the top of the board and then slide back down it. I also remember there used to be a stuffed owl in a glass case in one of the classrooms, I never understood why it was in a glass case. I enjoyed my time at the school very much. Yvonne (nee Evans)

My grandparents, who lived in Cross Hands and later in Trimsaren until 1939, are both buried at Tabernacle, Cefneithin, along with my great grandparents, Asah and Mary Jones. My other great grandparents were David and Sarah Griffiths. I'm trying to find out more about my family history and any members of the family who are still alive. My Nanna also told me that her grandfather was a minister named John Evans and I would also like to learn more about him.
