My brother Nigel was born here in 1957. It was both a farm and public house kept by my great uncle and aunt, Tom and Alice Moore.

Good Old Days

Friends from Barbridge and Bunbury were good in those days. Used to go dancing in the area, I think the buildings are still up. Ken Kirkham who has since died. David Davies after a while went in the army and has now moved away, but can't mention any more for now. But they were great times.

I think the schoolhouse is now a private residence. It was very distinctive with towers on the roof. Opposite the hotel was the Spencer's farm and Caroline Spencer was a friend. I was also friends with Rosaline Lehman whose mum Pat worked at the hotel. I have been back and the hotel is now Panama Hatties Restaurant and much changed. However I do have photos of the hotel which I... Read more

Family History

My great great grandparents are from Bunbury. They moved to the Manchester area in the 1850's; Peter Jackson, son of Richard Jackson and Hannah Rycroft. I would love to know about them, I would also love to see pictueres of Tiverton Moss and surrounding areas.
