I too went to Wrotham Road School when we lived in BLigh Road Gravesend. We also went to Church Street School. When I was four War started and we were evacuted on the Royal Daffodil boat to Norfolk for a short while and then returned to face the blitz! After the War we lived in Sun Lane and then out to Marlings Cross and on to Swanscombe. My sister and I used to play on Windmill Hill. Most of the roads have vanished in the Bligh Road area and the wonderful market has changed. Gravesend was once a lovely place to live with the Promenade and gardens and numerous shops. I don`t even visit now as it upsets me.
