Little Sutton Allotment
A Memory of Little Sutton.
Can anyone help or remember, when was the allotment started, what year? Also I am trying to find out about a sandstone "pot" quite largish that was in the allotment in approximately 1966/67. The story is ...... My grandfather George Hunt had a plot in the allotment, although I can not remember exactly which plot. I would go there when I was little in the 1960, but where his "plot " was, there was a sand stone pot. My aunty brought it to her house and tried to find out about this. Seemingly and I have no clue as to what year this would be, but maybe before the allotment was even planned, this pot was left in between little Sutton and great Sutton, the reason being if anyone was ill , rather than people come to each others village, they would leave food for them in this pot I would really like some help on this,
