Guildford Area

A Memory of Guildford.

I remember the castle well, as my family lived in Castle Street, and just after the war, for about two weeks (I'm not sure, but I think it could have been for National savings bonds), the castle was lit at night with a searchlight, very bright, and difficult to sleep.
The families in that area were very close and I remember the Cooks, Coppingers, Adams and the Knights, to name but a few. OH Happy days.
