Owner Of The Silver Lounge In Bexleyheath

A Memory of Bexley.

My father, Luigi Cascarini, opened and owned The Silver Lounge from 1939 until he retired in 1966. All his family including my self (Maria) worked there for many years. I would love to know if anybody out there has a photo of the front of the shop. No one in the family as one. Maria Richardson

I remember the Silver Lounge very well as my grandmother used to take us in for an ice cream. I remember the little silver ice cream goblets and the wafer in the lovely vanilla ice cream. I remember the smell of coffee and the green wall paper. It was a real treat to go in. Maria, my name is Catherine Eradhun (I was Goodhind before I married) and you sang in the church choir. You had a lovely voice I remember. Hope you are keeping well x x
Maria, I was in the same class as your brother Peter at St. Stephen's RC school, Welling, I'm 70 this year, is Peter still around. We were close friends at the time.
I think I can recall going to a birthday party in Lion Rd. Was that your house? Richard McSweeney.
