Memories Indeed

A Memory of Bexleyheath.

I did leave an earlier paragraph on this site years ago, but I can't see it now.

Indeed, growing up in Welling in the late forties to early sixties was a privilege accorded so very few. I subsequently spent forty-two years in Australia by accident followed by my fourteen years in the American mid-west. My memories of Welling - Ferrara's, Boots, the RACS, Johnson's cakes, The Orange Library, Bexley Grammar School, Woolworths, the Odeon and Granada cinemas, Danson Park, the Lake, (Miss Lingaid), The Mansion House, The Swimming Pool, Rochester Way, The Black Prince - need I go on? are as strong today as they were in the sixties - I should never have left!

For any dedicated lover of those times and those places - I wrote an autobiography - Cool Among the Flames" - you can buy it on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Lulu Press etc - just Google it. It will relive for you those times to the full. I still cry when I read it myself.

Bless you all,

Noel Bailey.
