Bletchingley Pimary School

A Memory of Bletchingley.

I was one of the last pupils that attended the school, before they made St. Catherines the new primary school. It was such an amazing school to go to. When you first went to school you were kept apart in the 1st class and had our meals and toilets completely separate from the main school.

When you moved up to the main school, we then mixed with the rest of the school. Although the boys had their own playground and the girls theirs. We also had a garden near the school canteen, which all the pupils looked after.

Will never forget the bell being sounded for the pupils to come in for the classes. We still had milk delivered to the school and also had biscuits with the milk. Best time when you became the biscuit monitor, as any biscuits that were broken we got to eat.

The sports field were on the left of the school and we had lots of fun when the sports day came around.

I think going to this school was such a joy and all the pupils really enjoyed their time at this school.
