Great Hollands

A Memory of Bracknell.

I remember Great Hollands around 1973. I used to go to Bracknell via Virginia Water. A friend of mine from the sixties moved there. His name was GRAHAM TROTTER he married a girl called SHIRLEY from Townholme Crescent Hanwell. We used to go to Bordeston school Hanwell. If any one knows him please tell him about this post.

Hi Nick, it was so lovely to find your post today. I'm Grahams daughter and I'm sad to say that he passed away in 2011 after a short battle with cancer. He had a great life I have two big brothers and we had such great times together. He was always playing the keyboard in pubs, old people's homes and all sorts for many years. My mum is staying with me at the moment and I will certainly share this with her. Thanks so much
I have a msg to you Alextrotter74
It must be remembered that Graham was a very good musician. One day at school we were told to bring an instrument. Graham was ok because he played the piano. However on the appointed day he arrived with a white guitar. The teacher said do you play guitar as well as the piano? He replied quitely yes. Taking up his guitar he started to play Spanish Flimenco. My it was good and the teacher obviously thought so as well judging by the expression on his face. Another time we both went to Windsor to see a new group we had not heard of "Georgie Fame and the Blue Flames". We hitch hiked from Brentford to Windsor and got a Greenline back. Life was such an adventure then and Graham was a good mate. Our local was the Fox in Green Lane Hanwell and it came alive on Sunday lunch times when Graham was on the piano.
